Tinanggap na kani-kanina lang, as in mainit-init pa the photos na ito, ang kanyang award bilang isa sa 10 fun, fearless female awardees ng Cosmopolitan Magazine. The ceremony was held at the New World Hotel in Makati City. Hindi nakarating sa awarding sina Bea Alonzo dahil may trabaho ito, and si Charice naman ay nasa U.S. na. Congrats Melai!
Nang tanungin naman si Melai kung ano para sa kanya ang isang "fun, fearless female" ito ang very honest na sagot ng confident comedienne!
"Kinabahan nga ako dahil hindi ko masyado alam yung fun, fearless eh. Ang fun is nakakatawa, ang fearless is walang takot? So hindi ka matakot tumawa? (Laughs) siguro wag kang matakot harapin ang buhay, tumawa ka lang parati, alangan naman sige kang iyak mamatay ka pala next year."
Sa kwarto niya raw ilalagay ang award na nakuha, para lagi siya ma-remind na minsang kinilala ang kanyang pagiging "fun, fearless female." Pero sa lahat ng blessings na tinatanggap niya, ito ang pasasalamat ni Melai :
"Sa mga melasons, and sa mga melasites at sa tropang Jason. Salamat sa inyong lahat dahil sinuportahan niyo ako, naabot ko ito. Salamat sa inyo, syempre naman sa parents, at sa Lord. Salamat sa mga nakamit kong awards, dahil sa inyo nagkaroon po ako ng ganito."

i honestly admit that the first time i saw melai on PBB, i hated her.. for being so maingay, "no class" comes to my mind. Pero hindi ako bumitaw coz i like watching PBB, and it pave a way to know melai more, to like her, and to love her now. I love her for being so real. My only hope is that she would stay the same, that she'll be happy on what she's into... the world of show business. As her fan, I will always give my support. Yes.. you doesn't have to be perfectly beautiful para maging BIDA. Go melason!
