Starting Over Again soars high at the box-office!

STAR Cinema breaks new grounds once again as its Valentine offering, Olivia M. Lamasan’s Starting Over Again starring Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga, soars high at the box-office.

Starting Over Again is a different kind of love story that is centered on estranged couple Marco (Pascual) and Ginny (Gonzaga) who meet for the very first after a painful break-up. Marco and Ginny are faced with the conflict of settling and resolving a major unfinished business without any guarantee and assurance of romantic reconciliation. The film, which is Lamasan’s 11th full-length feature film under Star Cinema, offers to give an alternative meaning to the phrase “starting over again.” 

This unforgettable romantic-drama is part of Star Cinema’s on-going 20th anniversary and it marks the very first big-screen collaboration between Piolo and Toni who first worked together on a popular TV commercial 13 years ago. The movie is profusely praised by film critics for its lyrical method of storytelling and for its witty and realistic dialogue as well as the superb characterization of all its characters. 

Starting Over Again made a whopping and record-breaking Php25M in the box-office on its first day, making it one of the most successful Valentine movies in the history of Philippine cinema. “In behalf of Star Cinema, Piolo and Toni, and all the men and women who worked behind the camera, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude for all the love and support.
